5,000 Ekiti council workers sets to write promotion exams

Government of Ekiti under the administration of governor Kayode Fayemi has approved the promotion exams for 16 local governments in Ekiti State. No fewer than 5,000 workers from the 16 local governments in Ekiti State will sit for promotion examinations on Saturday.

Chief  Ranti Adebisi, Chairman of the state Local Government Service Commission (LGSC), said this in Ado-Ekiti on Wednesday during an interview with NAN.

The chairman said that the exercise was for workers who were qualified to be upgraded in 2012 and 2013.

He said that the exercise would be conducted at the Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti. He explained that the approval of the exercise was given by Gov. Kayode Fayemi.

The chairman said that eligible officers that had been screened for the examination were expected to report at the venue with their identity cards.

He warned all concerned workers to shun examination malpractice. Adebisi urged them to start checking their names as well as their examination numbers at the commission.
