No clubs facing European expulsion: UEFA president Michel Platini

No club will be kicked out of European competition next season for breaking financial fair play rules, UEFA president Michel Platini said in an interview on Thursday.
UEFA's financial fair play (FFP) policy, designed to stop clubs spending more than they generate, comes into effect next season with a maximum penalty of exclusion from European competition for those failing to comply.
"In effect, the first decisions will be announced at the start of May," Platini told Le Parisien newspaper in an interview published on its website.
"But if you are expecting blood and tears and you will be disappointed. There will be some tough things but no exclusions from European competition." (ibnlive)

Why We Needs Fayose in Ekiti

More than before, Ekiti State needs Ayodele Fayose. It needs him like flowers need rain. For this, I was and remain happy that the alleged Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship primaries threw him up as the candidate for the election slated for 21 June. Of the 14 aspirants that desired the party’s ticket, Fayose wanted it most. He went about it with maniacal zeal and was clever enough to secure the support of the controversial money man, Burujii Kashamu (nee Esho Jinadu), who has promised to back Fayose’s bid with tonnes of cash – and most likely, a battalion of elite thugs. And let’s face it, Fayose is the most experienced among the contestants, having been governor between 2003 and 2006, when he was unhinged by his own irascibility as well as strident opposition to what he did or did not do. His reign as governor was halted by a shabbily handled (and not exactly legitimate) impeachment drama, co-starring the state legislature and former president Olusegun Obasanjo. Caleb Olubolade, the former Police Affairs Minister and one of Fayose’s victims in those crazy three years, sure has some experience as a military administrator. Of course, he was not elected and that fact gives Fayose an edge over him.
Since Fayose emerged, he’s been asking to be forgiven by those he might have wronged while in office. That must mean most Ekiti people, on whom he brought odium via his motor park populism marked by swigging paraga on the streets and eating boli. Asking for forgiveness suggests contrition and it is not something we should sneer at. Conversion, he is telling us, did not end with the Damascene experience. Ekiti needs a man capable of being contrite when the need arises. Top marks to Fayose. Ekiti needs Fayose on the ballot for the 21 June contest reminder of what went on before now; to remind the people that he can be relied upon to be unreliable. Fayose 2.0 looks ominously like the model that ran the state between 2003 and 2006. His mouth, like before, has been going into gear before his brain. In Abuja, where he went to receive his certificate of return, the allegedly changed man claimed to have brought the incumbent, Governor Kayode Fayemi, into office and would remove him. Fayemi, said Fayose, would be in tears after the election. Boasts and politics have always mixed well, but this one is close to inane. The claim that he brought Fayemi is an eminently childish one. Fayemi declared his intention to run in 2005 while Fayose was still governor, meaning that Fayemi was going to duel with him for the governorship. No incumbent, except if plied with alcohol, narcotic or under a hex, invites someone to run against him.
And what would bring about tears? Did Fayose weep for months after he was evicted, albeit illegally, from office? Most likely. Otherwise, he would not have imagined that the loss of an election will provoke a lachrymal response. Ekiti people need Fayose on the ballot to make less difficult their choice between the polish of Fayemi and Fayose’s urchin brusqueness and hyperbolic self-promotion. Fayose is relentless in advertising himself as the first governor to build dual carriageways in the state. That is incontestable. It is similarly incontestable that dual carriageways are nothing more than expanded single lane roads with medians. When a governor trumpets the construction of dual carriageways––especially those that failed within a few years––with the fanfare that should accompany the discovery of a cure for AIDS, there is something terribly wrong. The people of Ekiti need to hear Fayose speak in his characteristically coarse way to help them decide if the governor they desire is one with the body of an adult but the mind of an infant. They need to listen to him and decide if they want a governor with a good performance record, polish and confidence or one that is in an eternal grip of inferiority complex and backed by Kashamu (nee Jinadu), who is wanted for drug running in the US.
Fayose (the 2003/2006 model) drenched the state in toxin. Daily, Ekiti heaved with tension. It was heresy to express a different political opinion to the crude one he had. Five protesting students of the College of Education, Ikere, were killed. Dr. Ayo Daramola, who was going to challenge Fayose for the PDP governorship ticket, was also felled. In Ifaki, Tunde Omojola was murdered, with Fayose alleged to be at the scene. Traditional rulers got generous doses of insults from a man, who thought he was a divinity. Of course, the academic community was unlikely to fare better under a man ravaged by inferiority complex. Professor Akin Oyebode, an acclaimed International Law expert and delegate to the ongoing National Dialogue, was a victim of the malevolence that Fayose presented as governance. The Ekiti State Poultry Project, from which he trousered so much money and for which he currently is being prosecuted, was advertised as an inspired idea. However, it delivered everything but chickens. Happily, Fayose’s return has re-invited public attention to the heist. He is being called Fowl-yose.
As a people, we need Fayose’s re-appearance on the scene to spark in us sufficient outrage to reject him, his sponsors and what they represent. We badly need him to remind us that the party he represents has a low opinion of us returning to the path he once charted for us will be ruinous. He claims to be a changed person, but that claim is being punctured by his conduct. He’d probably have to undergo a personality transplant to shed his brusqueness and the inferiority complex.
Until then, he should be rejected like he was in the last senatorial election.

Forget About Our Contract” – Globacom Tell P-Square

According to the entertainmentA source close to the telecoms operator told Vanguard yesterday on telephone that the telecommunications giant, Globacom Nigeria Limited may terminate the endorsement deal, which it has with the pop twins Peter and Paul Okoye, popularly known as P-Square, since 2010, should they go ahead with the break-up.

According to the source, the telecoms giant entered into a contract with P-Square and not with any of the twins. “Since Glo has a contract with P-Square, and not with Peter or Paul, their breakup will definitely lead to the termination of the contract,” the source explained.

Petr Cech to miss rest of Premier League and Champions League

Petre Cech will miss the remainder of Chelsea's season after he suffered a shoulder injury in the UEFA Champions League semi-final first leg 0-0 draw at Atletico Madrid.
And captain John Terry will not play again before the Lisbon final - if Chelsea get there - after he limped out of the contest at the Vicente Calderon in the second half.
Jose Mourinho confirmed after the game that Cech, who was forced off in the 18th minute, will not feature again for the remainder of the campaign.
The dogged defensive display came at a cost for Mourinho as Cech departed in the first half and Terry was then replaced after 72 minutes with a foot problem.
Midfielders Frank Lampard and John Obi Mikel also picked up bookings which will see them suspended for next Wednesday's return.

I have never been a housemaid to Peter Odili

Wife of the Rivers State Governor, Dame Judith Amaechi has dismissed reports that she served as maid to the former Governor of the state, Peter Odili.
While reading to some school children during the Opening day of the UNESCO-Port Harcourt World Book Capital, a pupil posed the question, asking if Mrs Amaechi had ever been a maid.
For the first time since the stories filtered into the public in 1999, Dame Judith Amaechi had this to say: “I have never been a housemaid, my mother died when I was 4 and my Aunty, Mrs. Ndukwe took care of me, I got the best education, I began my education in the North, attended Port Harcourt Primary, FGGC Abuloma and then studied Urban and Regional planning at RSUST.
“My aunty and her husband are disciplinarians and educationist, my mum is from Ndoni in Rivers State and I married my husband in 1993, I was never a maid to anyone”.

A new government will Take Over Nigeria in 2015

Minister of God and leader of Divine Intelligence Ministry, Prophet George Fakolade, has predicted that Nigeria will experience a change of government in 2015.
He said, a new regime that will take Nigeria to its promised land would emerge.
Prophet Fakolad who revealed this during his visit to the Headquarters of Leadership newspaper on Wednesday, said that the suffering of Nigerians is coming to an end, adding that the new regime is going to bring about abundance.
He said that Nigeria is the richest country in the world in everything as created by God, but bad leadership is against it, adding that the end has come for bad leadership in the country.
“Lt. General T. Y Danjuma would be part of the government; God has decreed it since the year 2000, and it is going to be a divine appointment of a divine regime. It is an unchangeable decree from God. People asked me why T. Y. Danjuma; I told them that God has a covenant with him. God is a covenant keeping God; when He says something, it is going to happen; we just have to be prepared,” he said.

Boko Haram Still Holding Nigerian School Girls Captive,

The figure of school  girls kidnapped by Boko Haram  is much higher than the one earlier released by authorities.

"A total of 230 parents registered the names of their daughters who were missing on the day of the kidnap," said Asabe Kwambura, principal of the Government Girls Secondary School in the town of Chibok.

"Our own record says, 43 girls have so far escaped on their own from their kidnappers. We still have 187 girls missing," the principal said.

According to bernama, "the school asked parents to come forward and register the names of their missing daughters a day after the April 16 kidnapping.

Borno state government officials insisted only 129 girls were originally abducted from the school, and had said that 51 escaped.

Isa umar Gusau, the spokesman for Borno state's governor, said the escape of seven more girls on Sunday reduced the number of girls in the custody of their Boko Haram abductors to 77.

Kwambura disputed Gusau's claim of seven more escapes.

"I'm not aware of any seven girls that escaped on Sunday," the principal said.

Borno state Education Commissioner Musa inuwa Kubo confirmed the numbers released by Kwambura and sought to explain the discrepancies in figures provided by the government and the school.

"There was break in communication which resulted in a lack of coordination, as a result of which different figures were provided," Kubo said.

"But the opening of a register...provided an avenue where parents of missing children recorded the names of their daughters, which furnished us with a comprehensive list of girls taken away and those that were able to escape," the commissioner added.

In Chibok, angry parents are becoming impatient, accusing military and state authorities of playing politics with the lives and safety of their children.

"It is unfortunate that the kidnap of our girls is being politicized, with so many false claims by the military and the government," said Chibok resident Haladu Sule.

"Parents and vigilantes have suspended searches for the kidnapped girls since Thursday and we are not aware of any military rescue operation going on," Sule said, disputing claims that the military is conducting ongoing rescue operations.

Enoch Mark, a father whose daughter and two nieces were among the kidnapped girls, also doubted the military's claim.

He and hundreds of other Chibok residents, as well as people from nearby villages, went into the forest on motorcycles on April 19. They followed the tracks of the kidnappers up to Baale village, close to the camp where the girls were being held. During their nine-hour, 100-kilometre trek, they never saw a single soldier, Mark said.

Villagers told them the gunmen had passed through "and were camped with the girls in a creek some hundreds of meters outside the village." Some of the girls had even been brought back to the village at gunpoint to fetch water.

"We were warned by residents of Baale not to proceed, saying they feared for our lives because our sticks and (outdated) guns were no match for the heavy arms of the Boko Haram gunmen," he explained.

"The villagers warned us we would all be killed if we dared face the gunmen and would put the lives of our daughters in danger. We have therefore abandoned the search for our daughters since we know where they are but we don't have the capacity to liberate them," Mark added.

The father of a girl who escaped with two other girls from their abductors on April 16 also said they had been held at gunpoint.

"She told us that all the girls were gathered under trees in the forest under constant watch of gunmen," said the father, who asked not to be named for security reasons.

"My daughter was among those selected by the kidnappers to cook food and she and two other girls cooking together came up with a plan. They told their kidnappers they needed to use the bathroom," said the father.

The girls ran off once they were out of view of the their armed guards until they came across a village, where residents helped them get back to Chibok.

Barnabas Yakubu, a Chibok resident, wondered why the government failed to act on information supplied by residents about the location of the Boko Haram camp near Baale village.

But Kubo said the government and the military were "doing everything possible" to secure the release of the school girls.

"This is a delicate situation that requires careful handling," Kubo said.

"When you have heavily armed men holding close to 200 girls hostage, you have to be very careful in your approach so as not to risk the safety of these girls you want to rescue.

"It is a security issue and we just can't be divulging all the efforts we are making to get these girls freed," the education commissioner explained.

Nigeria Immigration understaffed; 1,400 illegal borders exists – Comptroller-General

Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, David Parradang, yesterday raised the alarm that over 1,400 illegal borders exist in Nigeria.
Parradang, who appeared before the Committee on Immigration and Related Matters at the ongoing National Conference, lamented that the 22,300 staff currently employed by the Immigration Service were insufficient.
According to him, a minimum of 5,000 officers are required annually if it must discharge its responsibilities.
On the Boko Haram crisis in the North East states, the CG said only five legal control posts exist in that region, in addition to 80 illegal routes through which the sect members come into the country.
“There are numerous border crosses into this country, 1400 illegal routes which are not manned, this has threatened the security of the nation.

Panic On Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Over Boko Haram Scare

There was palpable apprehension in Lagos and some parts of Ogun states on Wednesday over false information disseminated through the social media that the highly dreaded Boko Haram sect have invaded the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, killing nine policemen and 11 civilians.
The message which spread like wide fire via Facebook left many motorists and Lagosians worried over the fate of their loved ones who had embarked on journey through the route.
Many Lagosians and motorists who disembarked on the journey also expressed fear that the deadly terrorist group has at last gained entrance into South- West region of the country.
LEADERSHIP observed that there was traffic snarl on the expressway as many motorists stopped their vehicles waiting to get security report on the safety of the road.
In the traffic congestion people who had their loved ones travelling on the expressway were making frantic calls to find out if they were safe.
In a bid to face the security challenge Mobile policemen, the State Security Service, SSS, members of the JTF and others were seen moving towards the direction in search of the rumoured Boko Haram.
Responding to the development Spokesperson, National Emergency Management Agency( NEMA), Ibrahim Farinloye said,” The rumour started spreading on Facebook in the morning NEMA received a false alarm message on the invasion of Boko Haram on the expressway, but we discovered that it was a mere rumour.”

Barcelona’s transfer ban suspended

Spanish giants Barcelona’s transfer ban has been suspended until a final decision on the club’s appeal against the ban has been taken
FIFA has announced that Catalan giants will be able to sign players in the summer transfer window after deciding to suspend the Camp Nou side’s transfer ban following appeal against the punishment, Goal reports.
The Catalans were initially banned from signing players for the next two transfer windows for breaches relating to the international transfer and registration of players under the age of 18, but the suspension has now been put on hold until a final decision on their appeal has been taken.
“The club Barcelona has lodged an appeal before the FIFA Appeal Committee against the decision of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee that sanctioned the club for breaches relating to the international transfer and registration of players under the age of 18. Together with the appeal, the club requested that its appeal be granted suspensive effect,” an official statement reads.
“In this respect, the chairman of the FIFA Appeal Committee, Larry Mussenden, took into consideration the sanctions imposed against the club, the complexity of the matter, the start date of the next registration period – 1 July 2014 – and the fact that the FIFA Appeal Committee does not seem in a position to take a decision on the main issue early enough so that an eventual appeal of the club against its decision before the Court of Arbitration for Sport would still be decided before the beginning of the next registration period.
“Consequently, the chairman of the FIFA Appeal Committee considered that the appeal lodged by the club is to be granted suspensive effect.” (thenation)

T.B Joshua’s water saved us from the Nyanya bomb blast – Survivors

Candidus Egbe from Benue State said that he was in a public vehicle about to approach the popular bus station when the explosion occurred. “The next thing I could see was our car in the air, far above human height,” Egbe testified in The Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) in Lagos.

“The car then landed back on the ground with force,” he continued. “I don’t know how but I found myself outside the vehicle on the other side of the road. I never struggled to come out. If not for God, they would have announced my obituary on Monday,” he soberly declared, displaying pictures he had taken of corpses laid by the road where he miraculously found himself standing. Egbe attributed his survival to the fact that he had ministered ‘Anointing Water’ from T.B. Joshua that morning and had an ‘Anointing Sticker’ in his pocket at the time of the deadly incident.
Pastor Damfa Adams from Plateau State said he was in the Nyanya bus depot and about to purchase a ticket when the bomb exploded. “Suddenly, I heard a blast; I saw fire,” he vividly recounted to the congregation. “Some close to me fell to the ground; some died instantly. It was like a force protected me.” That morning, the pastor from Righteousness Covenant Church explained, he had ministered ‘Anointing Water’ from The SCOAN and prayed for Divine protection and preservation.
“The scene of the blast was just 10 meters from where I was standing,” he added. “My ears were deafened. After leaving the scene, I brought out the Anointing Water, ministered it in my ears and my sense of hearing was restored instantly.” The only scar visible was a scratch above his left eye caused by a glass splinter that flew out from the inferno. If the glass had hit him an inch lower, he added, it would almost certainly have left him blind.
Evangelist Maria Ajekukor from Abuja narrated that she left home that Monday morning without her Anointing Sticker from The SCOAN and, upon realising, quickly returned back to pick it up. Boarding a vehicle that came shortly afterwards, as they were approaching Nyanya, the sound of the explosion shattered the silence. “It was not just once. The first one went before we heard another two loud bangs…Because of this Anointing Sticker, that is why I am alive today,” she tearfully concluded. “God is merciful.”
Controversial Pastor, T.B. Joshua claimed to have predicted the blast in Abuja back in November where he warned of an explosion and called on people in the nation’s capital to be vigilant and prayerful. The YouTube video of the said prediction has been viewed almost 200,000 times. (.411vibes)

2015: We Need a Credible Leader - APC

A good team deserves good manager, like wise a good manager deserves good team and committed players. Manchester United is one of greatest teams in EPL with good players but Moyes is not best for team.

Compatriots Nigeria is a team that is been managing by bad PDP manager since 1999 with no trophy, we never qualifies for any runner-up. But kudos to Chelseafc owner he said, Chelseafc is not a football academy its a football club that want best, success and jubilation at End of any game. No manager can play wt Ibramovic happiness cos wining is wat he wants.
So

Nigeria under Jonathan is like Manchester United under Moyes which most of fans believe  that Moyes can never lead them to greater height. And I believe if Moyes is in CHelsea fc he can never stay till now because Chelsea fc mean BEST

What d u expect in team when you have Musliu Obanikoro ,Jalo and Patient as a defender and Jonathan as a manager? In fact nothing but failure.

This is our time to say NO!!! To Jonathan and his team because they lack focus and team work. We need another manager Jonathan must GO!!

Ten Things You Need To Know This Morning Wednesday

Good morning: 1. In his effort towards ending the ongoing killings and violence in the country, President Goodluck Jonathan will today (Wednesday) meet with the 36 states’ governors and security chiefs to discuss the way forward regarding the ongoing threat to national security. However, there is palpable fear that if Governor Nyako who recently accused President Jonathan of genocide attends the meeting, there is likely that there will be some form of confrontation.
2. The crisis in Taraba state continues unabated, as over 25 people have been killed in the latest invasion of Andoyaku village in Wukari Local Government Area. Report says the entire community was set ablaze, forcing residents to flee their home.
3. The government of Cameroon has accused Nigerian muslim leaders living along the boarders for sponsoring and harbouring Boko Haram insurgents. The government has also accused the military of concealing the real figure of casualties recorded at every point in time.
4. A former PDP national Chairman, Chief Audu Ogbe has blamed the military for the continuous killings in the country. Accusing the military of betrayal, the APC chieftain said that the over 200 school girls abducted by the militants in Chibok would have been rescued by now instead of the military disseminating wrong information that it had rescued some of the girls.

Atletico left frustrated as Chelsea battle to scoreless draw in Vicente Calderon

Chelsea’s defensive game plan worked perfectly as it held Atletico Madrid to a 0-0 draw in the first leg of their Champions League semifinal on Tuesday.
Jose Mourinho’s ultra-defensive tactics succeeded at the Vicente Calderon Stadium despite the exit of goalkeeper Petr Cech to injury in the 18th minute. Mark Schwarzer came on, with Cech’s long-term replacement - Thibaut Courtois - playing in the opposite goal, on loan from Chelsea.
Atletico nearly broke through in the final 15 minutes as Raul Garcia and substitute Arda Turan sent headers wide, while Gabi Fernandez and Diego Costa forced Schwarzer into saves.
But Chelsea looked too strong at the back, despite also losing captain John Terry to an injury that will sideline him for the remainder of the Premier League season. The result will leave the English side feeling upbeat about its chances of returning to the final, two years after beating Bayern Munich on penalties.
Atletico, which is top of the Spanish league and hasn’t been this far in Europe’s top competition since 1974, needs a plan for breaking open a Chelsea defense that will be handicapped by injuries and suspensions in the return leg.

I loose my Job Because of Obasanjo, Yar'Adua, Says Gambo Jimeta

Delegate to the ongoing National Conference and former Inspector-General of Police, Alhaji Gambo Jimeta, narrated yesterday how he lost his top police job on account of his pleas for the release of General Olusegun Obasanjo (rtd.) and late General Musa Yar'Adua (rtd.) from detention under the Sani Abacha regime.
He recalled that his intervention at that time was in the interest of the nation, however, regretted that he became another casualty of that regime as he was eventually forced to go on self-exile on account of persecutions by the Abacha regime.
Besides Obasanjo and Yar'Adua, Gambo said he also pleaded for four other unnamed persons incar-cerated by that regime.
Jimeta spoke during the inaugural sitting of the National Conference Committee on National Security, which he chairs.
He recalled that his untimely exit from service and subsequent witch-hunt by his employer left him with no alternative than to reluctantly seek exile for nine months at the expense of the wife, children and family members he left behind.

Nigeria: Beyond Death At the Stadia

THE initial response of the Minister of Interior, Abba Moro, to the death of 21 young job applicants, including four pregnant women, at the Nigerian Immigration Service recruitment test, at different stadia in the country epitomized the government of Goodluck Jonathan.
His earlier response to the deaths was spontaneous, and therefore, truly reflective of his attitude towards the job seekers, dead job applicants, their bereaved families and the Nigerian masses. His subsequent statements on the issue are not as important because they have been consciously attuned to public expectations and opinion.
From his initial statement, it was obvious that he was neither apologetic nor remorseful, and definitely, not prepared to take responsibility for deaths, injuries, pains and sorrow that were direct consequences of his ineptitude and greed. The minister was quoted as saying "They lost their lives through their impatience". To blame the dead for their death was reprehensible. It was grossly unfair and most insensitive. It was insulting to the memory of the dead, contemptuous of the bereaved families and grated on the sensibilities of most Nigerians.

Atletico Madrid v Chelsea: Graeme Souness tips Spaniards in first leg

I think Atletico Madrid are the favourites for this tie, at this moment in time.
Chelsea have stuttered in their run-in. I think of them losing at Aston Villa, losing at Crystal Palace and then losing at home to Sunderland at the weekend. I don't think Jose Mourinho's first Chelsea team would have done that.
I think he's got a very strong group, he is in the semi-finals of the Champions League and is still challenging for the Premier League - so I think he has had a very, very good first year - but I think the Chelsea team he had in his first spell wouldn't have lost the games I've mentioned.
The obvious vulnerability is going forward. They can't nick games when things aren't going well. When you've got an outstanding striker, like they had with Didier Drogba, he can relieve the pressure by nicking a goal - but they haven't had that this year.
They have had to really work hard for all of their points and haven't been pinching games like they could in the past. At the highest level that's sometimes the separation - a top striker can win you a game.

Junior Defence Minister, Musiliu Obanikoro, lies about own annual pay

The Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro’s claim on a television programme Monday that he draws N4 million annually as salary and allowances, is false, PREMIUM TIMES can authoritatively report today.
Mr. Obanikoro, alongside other Nigerian ministers, earn far ahead of that figure according to government schedule of remuneration for ministers, and in four probable rates computed by this newspaper based on stipulated guidelines, the lowest amount a minister could take home is N6.59 million per annum and the upper limit may hit N12.97 million or more.
The rates include a minister’s basic salary, and allowances for accommodation, motor vehicle fuelling and maintenance, entertainment, utility and newspaper/periodicals. The upper limit reflects payment for furniture and an official car.

Why Man. United Sacked Coach David Moyes ?

Moyes who was personal handpicked by Sir Alex Ferguson to take over upon his retirement, had failed to live up to expectation as Man. United fans around the world have been worried beyond measures. Though, Sir Alex Ferguson had earlier pleaded with the club management to give coach David Moyes some time to get acquainted with the players but this has even not done any good with all the time given to the Manager especially as the club will obviously not be featuring in the Champions League next season.
Moyes had endured a torrid campaign in charge of the reigning Premier League champions, with Sunday’s abject 2-0 loss to former club Everton guaranteeing that the Red Devils will miss out on a place in the Champions League next season.
Currently, the club’s hierarchy have decided that they can not gamble with £200 million warchest next summer under Moyes.
In the interim, Veteran midfielder Ryan Giggs would take over first-team duties for the remainder of the season, while there is even speculation that Sir Alex could return to the seat he vacated just a year ago.

South Korea ferry tragedy: Death toll rises to 108, divers continue to look for missing passengers

The death toll in the sunken South Korean ferry increased to 108 on Tuesday even as the divers continued to battle poor visibility under water to retrieve the bodies.

Over 190 people continue missing with hopes of finding any survivors grim.

Even as the rescue operations are on, the investigators are also probing the possible cause behind the tragedy that led to tipping and subsequent sinking of ferry.

Seven crew members of the sunken ferry have been detained by the police.

The role of the captain and crew is being widely criticised as they failed to evacuate the ship on time and told people to put on their life jackets and stay wherever they were.

The South Korean leader Park Geun-hye condemned the behaviour of the crew and captain and said that it 'tantamounts to murder.'
