BREAKING NEWS: Jonathan sacks Sports Minister Abdullahi; swears in 11 new ministers

Another Minister has been sacked,President Goodluck Jonathan on wednesday sack Minister of sport, Bolaji Abdullahi., the sack was announced just before the commencement of Wednesday’s meeting of the Executive Council of the Federation, FEC. 

The president also swore-in 11 new ministers and assigned them ministries.
Those sworn-in include: Musiliu Obanikoro (Lagos), Minister of State Defence;
Mohammed Wakil (Borno), Minister of State Power; Abduljelili Adesiyan (Osun), Minister of Police Affairs; Aminu Wali (Kano), Minister of Foreign Affairs; Akon Eyakenyi (Akwa Ibom), Minister of Land and Housing; Lawrencia Laraba(Kaduna State), Minister of Environment; Tamuno Danagogo (Rivers), Minister of Sports; Asabe Asmau Ahmed (Niger), Minister of State Agriculture; Aliyu Gusau (Zamfara), Minister of Defence; Boni Haruna (Adamawa), Minister of Youth Development; and Khaliru Alhassan (Sokoto State), Minister of State, Health.

Train Crush 80-year-old woman in Jigawa

(NAN)THE Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Jigawa, on Wednesday confirmed that an 80- year-old woman, Yakinini Musa was killed by a moving train.


The state Commandant, Mr Muhammad Gidado confirmed the death to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Dutse.
He said the woman, from Karidu village in Birniwa local government area of Jigawa, was crushed to death by the train while crossing the rail line around 4p.m on Tuesday.
According to him, the remains of the woman has since been buried in line with Islamic tradition.
He advised people to always be extra careful when crossing roads or rail lines.

Kenyan Pastor Command Women To Take Off Panties & Bras During Church Service

A pastor from a church in Dandora Phase 2, an eastern suburb Nairobi, the Kenyan capital, has ordered all female members to go to the church  without bras and panties for Christ to enter their lives.
Reverend Njohi of the Lord’s Propeller Redemption Church has advised female worshippers against wearing any undergarments to the church, calling them ungodly.
In a meeting chaired by him, a law was passed banning the wearing of inner wears. Njohi claims that when going to church, people need to be free in ‘body’ and ‘spirit’ to receive Christ.

BREAKING NEWS: Gunmen attack Plateau community, Rim

Gunmen on Wednesday morning attacked Rim and some surrounding areas in Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State, residents have said.

‪Residents of the affected communities said everyone was on the run from the attackers early on Wednesday.

‪One of the residents, Emmanuel, in a telephone interview With PREMIUM TIMES at about 8:00 a.m. said “the sounds of the gun shots are ongoing as I speak with you. For now we are not sure of how many people are killed. We are calling for assistance of security agents to come to our aid.”

‪The resident said the gunshots started in the late hours on Tuesday night and continued all night.
The Plateau police spokesperson, Felicia Anslem, confirmed the incident. She said the police had deployed its officers to Rim and they were on their way at about 10:20 a.m.‪ (premium)

HOW T.B. JOSHUA PROPHESIED RUSSIAN WAR IN DECEMBER

Obesere in Police Net for raping a 29-year-old

Alhaji Abass Akande, popularly known as Omorapala, has been arrested  by the Police in Lagos State for allegedly raping  business woman, Miss Olanike Olaiya in his Okota residence, Olanike was  29-year-old, Olaiya who is a National Diploma graduate of business administration from Ibadan Polytechnic.  The victim, who took the matter to the Police, narrated her ordeal in the hands of the musician.

 “I got to know  Obesere through one of my friends, Mrs Bola Okoro. She told me that Obesere would assist me in my business. “I deal in office equipment and when I contacted Obesere, he asked me to meet him in his family house at Okota.  When I  met him, I  introduced my business to him and he promised to connect me to some of his friends in Dubai who would sell  goods to me on credit. “After the discussion, he started demanding for sex and I refused and when I wanted to leave, he insisted I should sleep over in his house because it was late and he claimed that it was dangerous to go out late in the night in his area. “I thought he was a responsible man and I decided to sleep over, but at the dead of the night, he came into the room where I slept and pounced on me. “He raped me and afterwards inserted a ring he wore into my  private part  and I started bleeding. He hurriedly  left me in the room saying he had an appointment to fulfil. “I could not bear the trauma and the bleeding and I reported the matter  to the police.”
Obesere was arrested last Wednesday but later released. now the matter has been taking to State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Panti, Yaba, for further investigation.

Israeli strike on northern Gaza, kills 2 Palestinians

Two Palestinians were killed and some others injured in an Israeli airstrike on northern Gaza Strip town of Beit Hanoon, medical officials said on Tuesday.
Gaza emergency spokesman, Ashraf al-Qedra, told reporters that Musa’ab Za’aneen, 21 and a Palestinian from Beit Hanoon, was killed in an Israeli airstrike on the town.
He said three others were wounded, including a child.
Al-Qedra added that one of the three wounded Palestinians, who were in critical condition, died later of his wounds in the hospital.
This had led to the death toll of the Israeli airstrike climbing to two killed and two wounded.

Marketers to commence distribution of fuel nationwide

Oil marketers in Lagos State on Tuesday said the distribution of imported petrol to filing stations has commenced nationwide.
The marketers in separate interviews with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos disclosed that vessels laden with imported petroleum products had berth at the high sea.
One of the major marketers told NAN anonymously that the delay by the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) in approving the first quarter fuel allocation to marketers, was responsible for scarcity.

Putin Calls Crisis in Ukraine an 'Unconstitutional Coup'

Russian President Vladimir Putin said Tuesday that ally Viktor Yanukovych had been ousted in an "unconstitutional coup" but insisted the use of force in Ukraine would be a last resort.
When asked if the possibility of Russian military intervention existed, Putin told reporters: "There is not need to do that now."
Putin suggested the pro-Moscow Yanukovych, who fled Ukraine after days of protests that left dozens dead, should still be in power.

Pistorius murder trial interrupted on 2nd day

Associated Press= PRETORIA, South Africa (AP) The second day of Oscar Pistorius' murder trial was dramatically interrupted Tuesday and the judge ordered an investigation into allegations that a South African television channel was broadcasting a photograph of a witness รข€” against a court order guaranteeing privacy to witnesses who request it.
Judge Thokozile Masipa warned the media to respect the ruling that images of witnesses who request privacy should not be shown. Masipa called the revelation "very disturbing."
"An investigation is to follow to find out exactly what is happening. This may just be the tip of the iceberg," said Masipa.
